Let’s Move Walking Challenge
Saturday, September 20-Sunday, September 28
All ages. Track the number of steps that you walk from September 20-28. Sign up online at this link beginning September 20 or complete the application form at any Wilson County Public Library location! The participant who logs the most steps will win a gift card! There will also be a random drawing of all participants.

Youth Services Storytime Area
Ages 0-5. In celebration of Health and Fitness week, join us for an in-person storytime led by Wilson County Health Department and library staff, featuring music, song, and dance.

Tuesday, September 23, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Main Library Assembly Room
Ages 18 and up. Health professionals from Wilson County Health Department will demonstrate ways to improve your health through increased physical activity, including online fitness videos and chair exercises.
Healthy Healthcare Habits
Tuesday, September 23, 11:30-12:30 a.m.
Main Library Assembly Room
All ages. Nursing students from Barton College will discuss healthy habits and recommendations for nutrition, sleep, and mental health.
Let’s Move in Libraries: STEAM Program
Tuesday, September 23, 6:30 p.m.
Youth Services/YouTube
Ages 5 and up. Join us for a program led by nursing students from Barton College as they demonstrate the hi-tech training mannequins used in their classes.
Untangle the Mind: Mindful Moments
Wednesday, September 24, 2-3:30 p.m.
Main Library Assembly Room
Take a pause from daily stress and learn simple ways to quiet the mind through guided breathing and meditation. This session will focus on mindfulness techniques designed to promote relaxation, mental clarity, and a sense of calm that you can carry into everyday life. Presented by Tayler Winstead, a recreational therapist with Carolina Family Health Centers, Inc.
Let’s Move in Libraries: Preschool Storytime

Youth Services Storytime Area
Ages 3 and up. Join us for an in-person preschool storytime led by library staff. Each week we will explore the world of reading with stories, songs, and movement.
Behavior Change and S.M.A.R.T. Goals
Thursday, September 25, 12:45-2:15 p.m.
Main Library Assembly Room
Ages 18 and up. Nursing students from Barton College will discuss self-efficacy, planned behavior, the health belief model, attribution theory, and S.M.A.R.T. goals.
Brain Fitness Trivia
Saturday, September 27, 2:00-3:30 p.m.
Main Library Assembly Room
Ages 16 and up. Expand your brain fitness by engaging in a fun afternoon of competitive trivia. Topics will include music, history, sports, arts/culture, Wilson, and more! Join a trivia team or bring your own! Tablets will be provided for the game or bring your own phone/tablet. Refreshments will be served, and prizes will be awarded. Registration is requested.
