Patriotic Fine Art Fridays  
Fridays, June 12, 26; 1:00 p.m. 
Youth Services 
Ages 0-12. This summer, Fine Art Fridays will feature a product art project alongside the process art experience, giving artists the chance to explore different materials and creative techniques while building motor skills, sparking imagination, and letting freedom ring! On June 12, create a Fingerprint Flag Craft. On June 26, make a Ribbon Flag Wand! All supplies will be provided. 

Fun Friday for Families: Stitching for Service 
Friday, June 12, 3:30-5:30 p.m. 
Stantonsburg Library 
All ages. Join us for an afternoon of creativity, community, and patriotic spirit! Help create red, white, and blue quilt squares to commemorate our nation’s 250th birthday! The quilt squares will be displayed throughout July and later sewn into Quilts of Valor to honor local veterans this November. No sewing experience is required and all supplies will be provided.  

Women’s Costume of the Revolutionary Era 
Monday, June 15, 6:30 p.m.

Tea Blending

Patriotic Flower Planter Stick Craft

Ages 6-10. Bring some red, white, and blue to your garden with this fun patriotic flower planter decoration! 

Popsicle Stick Flags 
Wednesday, June 24, 6:00-7:00 p.m. 
Main Library Conference Room 
Ages 9-13. Get creative by designing flags using popsicle sticks and colorful craft supplies. Create traditional flags, represent your favorite places, or invent entirely new designs to show off your personality. It’s a fun, hands-on activity that encourages creativity, self-expression, and a bit of crafting skill. Everyone will leave with a unique flag to display or share with friends. Stars, Stripes & Stories: America 250 Hanging Flag Craft 
Thursday, June 25, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

All ages. Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary by creating a simple and festive hanging rag flag made from strips of fabric in patriotic colors. Tie fabric strips onto a wooden dowel to create a rustic decoration that represents freedom, unity, and creativity. This easy, relaxing craft makes a beautiful piece to display at home during the America 250 celebration. All supplies will be provided while materials last. Fun Friday for Families: Hands-On Historic Textiles 
Friday, July 17, 3:30-5:00 p.m.

All ages. Drop in to this hands-on exploration of historic textiles! Try your hand at weaving on a traditional floor loom and spinning wool into yarn using a spinning wheel or spindle. Take-home weaving craft kits available while supplies last.
